KINDERGARTEN!!!

Jack is officially a Kindergartner! He started school on Tuesday, Sept 7th. He has been counting down the days until school started for two weeks. I was so nervous for him and thought I would be emotional dropping my first born off to kindergarten for the first time but I wasn't. I don't know if it just happened so fast that I didn't have a chance to really think about it while it was happening or if maybe the fact that Jack was so excited and so ready to be going to school that I was actually excited too. He has some friends from church in his class and a really good teacher (so I've heard) so I'm sure he is going to be just fine while he is away from me. I really just want kids to be nice to him and for him to be nice to everyone too. I love my little man and love that he was so excited for school. He loves to learn and loves to read and ask questions. I hope his love of school and learning continues for years to come.

On Monday night before school started Jack got to pick where we would have dinner and he picked Brick Oven. I had to laugh because we had only been there once or twice but I guess it stuck with him. We had a lot of fun and of course the food was delicious!

Here is Jack getting his school hair cut. He used to be terrible when getting his hair cut but now handles it with ease.

Here he is eating breakfast on the first day of Kindergarten. I made french toast for him but I'm not sure how often I will be making breakfast since he would rather have cereal every morning which is fine with me.

Look how cute this is! He picked out his outfit and everything. Who knew a 5 year old boy would care so much about what to wear? Check out the pose---so dang cute!

He was practically sprinting to the door of the school he was so excited!

Here he is in his classroom. His teacher read "The Kissing Hand" and gave each of them a Hershey kiss to give to their parents and say good-bye. He ran up to me and gave me the biggest hug and kiss and said "bye Mom" and he was ready be on his own. I tried to get a picture with Jack and Macie but it didn't quite work out. She was ready to go to kindergarten too. She had her backpack on but I told her she had to wait until she was 5 to go. So now when anyone asks how old she is she says she is 5---she's funny!

Jack and Jackson are best buddies and so excited to be in the same class. It's good to know they will look out for each other.

And here he is after his first day and he is still smiling! So far so good.
