Happy Father's Day!!

This father's day was not exactly what we would have hoped for. Once again Ryan was home alone on father's day while the kids and I are in Utah. Last year Ryan was studying for step 1 of boards so he sent us away so he could focus on studying. This year the kids and I are out here for his brothers wedding and he isn't able to come out until Thursday. Not only that but my Dad wasn't home for father's day either. He was down in Arizona where my brother-in-law just finished his residency---Congrats Sean!!! (and Michelle) But we did get to go down to Ryan's parents and visit with them so we at least got to wish Marv/Grandpa a happy father's day in person. All in all it was kind of a strange father's day but I do want to tell my Dad how much I love him and what an amazing example he is to me and my family. Jack and Macie are so lucky to have a Papa like you--we are so excited to see you! And Ryan here are some pictures of your 2 biggest fans--We love you and miss you!

Happy Father's Day Ry--thanks for being such an amazing Dad!

We Made It!

Jack, Macie and I made it to Utah on Saturday. It was a close one and I was totally stressed but we are here and all is well. The kids did really good on the flight. We were lucky to make it onto a direct flight otherwise it would have been a really long day. Jack entertained himself during the flight--the DVD player is a life saver! Macie did really well too. She slept off and on during the flight but by the time we made it to my parents house she had had it and was ready for bed. Ryan, we miss you but we will see you in a few days.

all about macie

i just wanted to note some of my favorite things about my little girl and post some new pictures of her. she is constantly making me laugh and i can't seem to get enough of her smile.

ryan loves to hold her feet while she stands in mid-air and as you can see she loves it too! i love how much he loves her and how excited she gets when she sees him--she so has him wrapped around her little finger!

one of her new favorite things is swinging at the playground. she loves to be outside. when we go for walks she can't seem to get enough of the scenery and she can't seem to get enough of her daddy!

and as you can see she loves to eat! we have started her on some cereal. at first she wasn't too sure about it but now she is ready to feed herself. she grabs the spoon and laughs as i try and pull it away--she is already a tease:)

this is definitely one of my favorite picture of macie--i love it! i took her to the pool the other day and she was so cute. the water was quite cool so she didn't really enjoy the water but she sure did enjoy the sun and the nice cool breeze.

it is nearly impossible to find a good picture of both jack and macie--but here is one of jack pushing macie in the swing--he is such a good helper:)

one more thing that i love about macie is how much she loves jack. she tries to talk to him all the time and he makes her laugh. i know jack loves her too--and that is something to smile about.

He Did It!

We have had a big week here at our house. Jack has made a huge step in his potty training---he has finally figured out how to poo in the toilet--hallelujah! I know this may be a strange thing to post but let me tell you how grateful I am that he has figured this out. It has been over a month of changing disgusting poo underwear. We have been accident free for a week! We should stay that way as long as we are within 5 seconds of a toilet when he needs to go.
