macie update

Ok so while we were in Utah Macie hit the 5 month and 6 month marks. She is changing so much every day! She is starting to like solid food more and more--it has taken her a while but she is catching on. She also is rolling all over the place and so close to crawling. She seems to get a little frustrated since she has only figured out how to push herself backwards and hasn't quite figured out how to move herself forward toward what she wants. Most of the time when I hear her protesting she is already half way under the couch or under a chair. But I figure that she is a smart girl and will figure out how to move forward soon. She continues to make me smile and is such a fat and happy baby. I love being a mom and can't wait to see what she is going to do next.

Still Alive

So sorry it has been so long since we have posted. We promise to repent. We had such a fun and crazy time at home with family and there wasn't much time to keep up the blog. But no excuses--we are bad! As we go through all the pictures that we took this past month we will update you on what we have been up to.

Our first big event while being home was Travis and Courtney's wedding. It was so much fun be there with the whole Slater family. They are a very happy couple, and we couldn't help but reminisce about our own wedding 6 years ago. Jack and Macy looked so adorable all dressed up for the reception. Weddings are always stressful, but it was a really fun time. Ryan flew out for the wedding and then had to fly back to Ohio to take a test (bad timing on the wedding, Trav), but it all worked out. Ryan rejoined us back in Utah a week later.

About the same time as the wedding, Ryan's parents got their mission call. They will be serving in the Omaha, Nebraska mission at the Winter Quarters visitors center. They enter the MTC on Aug. 18th. We are so very excited for them and so proud. We will miss them, but they will have some great experiences. We love you Grammie and Grandpa!
