Last week we took a trip to Reno, Nevada to visit my sister, Julie, and her family. Julie is 8 months pregnant, and so they are staying home for Christmas. So we decided to take a little trip. The drive wasn't bad, and the kids were great! We had such a great time, and it was so good to see them. Jack and Macie had a lot of fun playing with Sophie, Tyler, and Lily.
They live about 30 min from Lake Tahoe, so we thought we'd drive up there to see it. Unfortunately, a storm had the same idea and kept us from witnessing the breath-taking view of the lake. But it was fun, and we decided we'll have to do it again in the summer.
Jack and Tyler had fun playing the Wii. Candace and I played too, but we don't have pictures - thank heaven!
We went out for pizza one night, and the Big Man himself showed up. Jack was a little hesitant at first but warmed up quickly. Macie was more interested in pulling his beard than anything else. Good thing it was real!
There was a pretty good snow storm while we were there, and Jack had fun playing in the snow with Tyler and Lily.
I even talked Julie into posing for a picture with me. People used to say we look like twins - which was quite a compliment for me, and not so much for Julie.
