It's Over!

Ryan took Step 2 of his boards yesterday!! It is so nice to have that one over with. Congrats babe--you studied hard for that one! Let me just tell you that I have the most wonderful husband--he spent all day, 9 hrs, taking his test and when he came home he had gifts for all of us. He had a beautiful bouquet of flowers for me and toys for the kids--how great is he! We were planning on celebrating this occasion today but of course Jack had other plans. He spent most of the day on the couch with a fever, body and stomach aches--he was so miserable. Needless to say the celebrating has been postponed but we will celebrate!

Dumb Machine!

On Sunday night Ryan realized that he didn't have any scrubs to wear the next day. Seeing as though he is working in the anatomy lab and he doesn't want his real clothes to be all smelly and stinky we threw in a load of laundry. Not a big deal--I know it's not the best sabbath day activity but sometimes you need clean clothes. Anyway so I realize that it is quiet in the laundry room--more like a closet than a room but anyway...so I went to put the clothes in the dryer and this is what I saw---it never made it to the spin or rinse cycle. It was
stuck--a whole lot of water not wanting to drain out. We had no clue what it could be--we don't know much about washing machines so our only choice was to let the clothes sit there soaking in the water over night and call some service company in the morning. To make a long frustrating story short it was an easy fix and we didn't need to buy a new washer so that was good news to us. It still was more money than I really wanted to have to spend on a washer--I hate unexpected expenses! Sometimes Ryan has to remind me to relax and breath when things like this happen. Anyway I am just grateful that we have a functioning washing machine again.

I have been meaning to put this video on for a while now but since I have just vented about my washing machine this is at least on the subject. Jack is really helpful with the laundry. He likes to help put the soap and the clothes in the washer. He likes to watch the clothes go "round and round and wiggle wiggle"--that is what he says when his clothes need to be washed. I think it is pretty dang cute!

Ready For Bed

Jack has been doing the cutest thing the last couple nights. After getting him all ready for bed--pj's on, teeth brushed, stories read and prayers said--he stalls going to bed for as long as possible. If you don't know he really really really likes trains and so he has a few of them. He loves to make really long trains and drive them around the apartment. Well as he gets up to go to bed he drives his trains around to their "bed". He then takes them one by one--says good night choo choo and lays them down on their side. I love how his imagination continues to grow and I find myself smiling and laughing at him constantly. I love my little boy!

Just a little side note about Macie. We went to a ward picnic on Labor Day and when we got home Macie was completely exhausted. She fell asleep on the way home from the park and stayed asleep while I took her out of her car seat, changed her diaper and put her pj's on. I love watching her sleep.
