I feel like this summer has been a non-stop party. Just in the past few weeks we have gone to Lagoon, had a family reunion and headed down to Bryce Canyon for Ryan's residency retreat. I have taken a million pictures so here are just a few to show off some of the highlights of the past few weeks.
BRYCE CANYON
This last weekend we were able to head down to Bryce Canyon with Ryan's residency program. We were a little nervous to go to the canyon with the kids so thanks to my mom and dad we left them behind and enjoyed a little time to ourselves. This was my first time to Bryce and it was absolutely amazing! We enjoyed some good hikes and a very entertaining western show.

This is after our 8 mile hike. It was hot and tiring and I'm still sore!

Ryan and Jared proved their manhood by hiking up to the Tower Bridge
SLATER FAMILY REUNIONThe first weekend in August we were able to spend some time with Ryan's family. We went to a cabin in Fairview and we had so much fun! Games, 4 wheeling, dancing & singing and of course some really good food!

Here are all the grandkids (minus Jordan and Teysia). Aren't they cute!

Grandpa took some of the kids fishing and Jack is quite the fisherman. He caught the first fish--look how proud he is. He takes fishing very serious and doesn't even move until he feels a tug on his pole. He loves fishing!

Macie is a completely different story. She loved sitting in her princess chair and had more fun blowing bubbles than holding the fishing pole. I don't blame her! I think fishing is dirty and stinky!

Here are the siblings after a wet ride on the 4 wheelers (Trav and Courtney we missed you!) We had so much fun riding and enjoying the amazing mountains and then the rain started to come down. It's hard to see it in the picture but we were pretty soaked and that was half the fun!

This view was gorgeous! I love living so close to these amazing mountains.

The kids loved riding too. These kids had so much fun together!

Grammie planned some really fun activities for the grandkids. Here they are before their nature walk. They loved looking for things of all different colors.

Around the camp fire. You can't go to the mountains without s'mores. I think the kids were more interested in the marshmallows, they were giant!
Thanks Grammie and Grandpa for all your hard work planning this reunion. We had a blast!
LAGOON
Jack had been begging to go to Lagoon all summer so we took advantage of Ryan having a couple days off and made it happen. Jack absolutely LOVES rollercoasters! We were lucky to have our friend Alex, my mom and my sister Cami and her kids join us for a fun filled day at Lagoon.

Jack and his cousin Brady must have ridden this little rollercoaster five times in a row. Check out their faces--they loved it!

Surprisingly Macie likes the slower rides. She can't get enough of carousels. I think she would be happy riding this all day long.

Jack wanted to ride everything. His only disappointment is that he wasn't tall enough to go on the bigger rollercoasters. Maybe he'll have a big growth spurt and he'll be tall enough next year.

We have been having a lot of fun. It's hard to believe that the summer is almost over but Ryan keeps reminding me that it's ok because that means that it's football season. We are very excited for football----GO COUGARS!!!!
