Trying to Catch Up

So we wish that we had a good excuse for not blogging in so long. But we don't - so we won't make anything up. We've been in Utah for a month now, and we've had a lot of fun. Between Halloween, football games, and other family activities, we have been busy!

For Halloween, Jack dressed up as Thomas the Train - and he couldn't have been happier! This was the first time that he went door to door for trick-or-treating. He was a little apprehensive at first, but when he realized that people were giving away candy and all he had to do was go to their door, he decided it was worth it. Macie was our little fat fairy! She also had fun - we think. Candace was a seductive evil temptress dressed as a witch and all she wanted was a manly doctor in green scrubs. Lucky for her, one arrived just in time to go trick-or-treating. I didn't have time to change, so my costume was somewhat predictable - but what do you do?

In light of our recent defeat to the Utes (which we will never mention again - and anyone who brings it up on our blog will be banned for eternity!!!) we are glad that we were able to take Jack to his first BYU football game which was also the last home game of the season. He loved cheering on the Cougars, and we even got to go down onto the field after the game was over. We hope to attend many more games in the future.

Last week we went bowling to celebrate my younger sister's birthday, and this was also a first for Jack. He wasn't quite sure what was going on, but he picked it up quick and loved every minute. Now we can't wait to go back to Jack & Jill's Bowling Alley to work on his skills.

All in all we're having a great time with our families and friends in Utah. I finished my rotation at Utah Valley Hospital last week, and I really enjoyed it. I have my interviews for residency coming up this month, so it will be busy - but we're excited.

Love the costumes, and love the game pic. I know, Jake is seriously STILL devastated, I think he almost cried, WOWZERS, what a crazy game. Are you guys still here for the holidays or are you going back? Looks like you have had some fun times.

Looks like a fun time out in Utah. I'll have to talk to my friend in the PBA about Jack's bowling skills. Great work. Hope the interviews are going well. Good luck in Vegas ;)
